Damla Colbay — Biography

Damla Colbay was born on 14 January 1993 in the Karşıyaka district of İzmir, to Erhan and Ayten Colbay. She moved to Istanbul in 2013 for a university internship and trained as an actress at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir.

She made her first television appearance in 2014 as Demet in Kara Para Aşk. In 2015 she took her first leading role as İnci Temizyürek in Hayat Mucizelere Gebe, a Turkish adaptation of Jane the Virgin. She became widely known in 2016-2017 as the reporter Eylem Aydın in İçerde, whose first episode set a record with 11.6 million YouTube views. After a brief role in Zengin ve Yoksul in 2019, she played Zeynep Can in Hekimoğlu, which began later that year, leaving the show in 2021. In 2022 she appeared as Sare Türkmen in Yalnız Kurt and as Selin in Sıfırıncı Gün, and in 2026 she joined the cast of Teşkilat. A fan of the Sailor Moon comics and director Pedro Almodóvar, she broke her finger while on holiday in Bodrum in the summer of 2026 and was treated by her boyfriend, a doctor.
