Esra Ronabar — Biography
Esra Ronabar was born on 19 July 1978 in the Ödemiş district of İzmir. While studying chemistry at Ankara University she began taking acting exams; after working with Altan Erkekli, Rutkay Aziz and Metin Balay she left the department and graduated instead from the same university's Faculty of Languages, History and Geography, Department of Theatre. In the 1997-98 season she performed at Ankara Art Theatre; her roles in Oyun Nasıl Oynanmalı and Dünyanın Ortasında Bir Yer won her the İsmet Küntay special jury award and best actress award respectively.
She made her television debut in 1998 with Kader Ayırsa Bile, and went on to appear in A.G.A, Bir İstanbul Masalı, Beyaz Gelincik and Son Osmanlı. In 2013, while leading the cast of Sana Bir Sır Vereceğim, she was seriously injured in a car accident on her way to filming, underwent surgery and was forced to leave the series. After recovering she appeared in the series Tatlı Küçük Yalancılar and Cennetin Gözyaşları, played Maide in the films İyi Adamın 10 Günü and Kötü Adamın 10 Günü, and returned to screens in 2025 as İnci in the series Sevdiğim Sensin.
She married actor Barış Falay in 2006, and the couple's son, Mavi Rüzgar, was born in 2009.
