İlayda Akdoğan — Biography

Born on 21 July 1998 in Istanbul, İlayda Akdoğan appeared on screen at age six in the 2004 children's show En İyi Arkadaşım as Seda, then in Afacanlar Kampı (2005) and, in 2007, as Gülay in Fox's Bez Bebek and in Sevgili Dünürüm.

Her cinema debut came in 2015 as Sonay in Deniz Gamze Ergüven's internationally noted Mustang, a part that won her Best Actress at the 21st Sarajevo Film Festival along with several nominations. She then played the lead, Elif, in Umuda Kelepçe Vurulmaz (2016) and the rebellious Asuman in Star TV's Dolunay (2017). In 2020 she took her first film lead as Hece in Masallardan Geriye Kalan and joined the cast of Netflix's Rise of Empires: Ottoman.

She went on to appear in Netflix's trilogy 10 Days of a Good Man, 10 Days of a Bad Man and 10 Days of a Curious Man, and in the Disney+ series Ben Gri (2022). In 2025 she played Fatma in Show TV's Bereketli Topraklar. She also runs her own YouTube channel.
