Helin Kandemir — Biography

Born in Istanbul on 2 June 2004, Helin Kandemir began performing on stage at nine and made her screen debut in 2017 as Pelin Akıncı in the Kanal D series İsimsizler. Over the following years she built one of the busiest résumés among young Turkish actors, moving between Turkish television, dubbing work for foreign releases, and streaming productions. She played Elif Yürekli in Bir Litre Gözyaşı and lent her voice to releases such as The Lion King and The Haunting of Hill House, then took the part of Havva in Emin Alper's A Tale of Three Sisters, a performance that earned her a best-actress prize in the international competition of that year's Istanbul Film Festival.

From 2019 she spent two seasons as Kibrit, later renamed Dilara, in Doğduğun Ev Kaderindir, before taking roles in Kağıt Ev and Elbet Bir Gün; she also appeared in Duy Beni and joined the cast of Rise of Empires: Ottoman, and her work in the film Bihter brought her an Altın 61 award in 2023. Her voice-acting credits abroad include Turning Red and Paper Girls. She currently plays Dicle in the series Sevdiğim Sensin, a role that has brought her a wide following. Her father, Murat Kandemir, died of leukemia in February 2023.
