Murat Boz — Biography

Murat Boz was born on 7 March 1980 in Karadeniz Ereğli, Zonguldak. After winning a place at Istanbul Bilgi University in 1999, he continued his education at the Turkish Music State Conservatory of Istanbul Technical University; during these years he worked as a backing vocalist for many singers, above all Tarkan. He began his solo career in 2006 with the single Aşkı Bulamam Ben and went on to release the albums Maximum (2007), Şans (2009), Aşklarım Büyük Benden (2011) and Janti (2016).

The artist behind chart-topping songs such as Geri Dönüş Olsa and Kalamam Arkadaş has won four Golden Butterfly and two Kral Music awards, and was the winning judge of the first season of O Ses Türkiye. He stepped into acting in 2014 with Hadi İnşallah, and appeared in the films Kardeşim Benim, Dönerse Senindir, Öldür Beni Sevgilim and Rüyanda Görürsün as well as the series Zeytin Ağacı. In 2026 he made headlines with a song he wrote for Gülistan Doku and with the TUZFEST'26 concerts he gave together with Hadise.
