Pelin Karahan — Biography

Vildan Pelin Karahan was born on 6 October 1984 in Ankara. After graduating from the Tourism Management Department of Anadolu University, she turned to acting.

Karahan had her first acting experience in 2005 with the series Cemalim, and achieved a major career breakthrough in 2007 with her role as Aslı Zeybek in the series Kavak Yelleri. Her portrayal of Mihrimah Sultan, daughter of Sultan Süleyman, in the series Muhteşem Yüzyıl, which began in 2011, brought her wide recognition abroad as well. In 2015 she appeared in the series Yeter.

Besides acting, Karahan has also worked as a presenter, hosting the programme "Pelin Karahan'la Nefis Tarifler" on Show TV. The actress, a mother of two, divorced her husband Bedri Güntay in 2026.
