Sedat Erdiş — Biography

Sedat Erdiş is a Turkish actor born on March 22, 1963, in Samsun. A conservatory-trained performer, he is known over the course of a long career mainly for the character roles he has taken on in television series.

He completed his acting training in his home city, at the Theater Department of the Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Conservatory. After his stage training, he brought the experience he had gained in theater in front of the camera, beginning his first screen work in the mid-2000s.

He had his first major television experience in 2006 in the long-running police drama Arka Sokaklar, directed by Orhan Oğuz. In 2014 he appeared in three separate productions at once: the historical series Diriliş Ertuğrul, directed by Metin Günay, along with Gurbette Aşk and Kaçak Gelinler. In the 2015 series Yunus Emre, he appeared alongside Arda Kalaycı.

Erdiş's best-known role is the character Seyran, whom he played in Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz, a series that also began in 2015 and aired on atv. In this production, which had a large cast, he worked alongside names such as Oktay Kaynarca, Can Gürzap, Birol Ünel, Atilla Şendil, Arzu Yanardağ, Benian Dönmez, and Cansu Melis Karakuş.
