Sedef Şahin — Biography
Born on 14 May 1992 in Istanbul, Sedef Şahin began her theatre training at the private Pera Fine Arts High School and completed it at the Theatre Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory.
After appearing in commercials and catalogue campaigns, she became known for playing Yeşim in the 2005 series Belalı Baldız, and went on to take roles in Patron Kim, Avrupa Yakası, Sevgili Dünürüm, Adını Feriha Koydum and Acil Aşk Aranıyor; in 2010 she also performed on stage in Kraliçe Lear alongside veteran actress Yıldız Kenter.
She played Maria in the TRT1 series Diriliş Ertuğrul, and according to Turkish media reports she has more recently stepped back from acting to work as a university lecturer.
