Sevil Uyar — Biography

Sevil Uyar was born on 5 May 1982 in İstanbul. After finishing fifth in the 2004 Miss Turkey beauty pageant, she trained in acting under figures such as Ayla Algan, Şahika Tekand and Meltem Cumbul, and in 2006 was crowned Turkey's winner in the Miss Model of Turkey contest. She stepped onto the screen in 2005 with the series Aşk Oyunu, directed by Bülent İşbilen, and moved into film in 2007 with a lead role in Faruk Aksoy's Çılgın Dersane Kampta.

Around the same period she appeared in series including Yalan Dünya, Geç Gelen Bahar, Yahşi Cazibe and Sihirli Annem, while hosting the magazine show "Zoom" on Star TV and the music program "Rock Chart" on MTV. She turned to theatre in 2010 with "Engelsizsiniz" and to comedy in 2011 with "Arapsaçı"; the 2012 play "Seninle Evlenir Miyim?" went on to win Best Comedy of the Year at the Suna Pekuysal Awards. On screen she is also known for a role in Conquest 1453, and later appeared in the series Aşk Yeniden and Seviyor Sevmiyor.

Uyar married Levent Kılıç in 2014 and became a mother in 2024.
