Müfit Kayacan — Biography

Müfit Kayacan is a Turkish actor and theatre director born on 17 January 1959 in Antalya. A graduate of Industrial Engineering at Çukurova University, Kayacan served as general art director for 25 years at the Antalya Metropolitan Municipality City Theatres, of which he was one of the founders, and became known nationwide in 2010 as the face of TÜVTÜRK commercials.

Beginning his television career with Kezban Yenge (2005), the actor is etched in memories with works such as Öyle Bir Geçer Zaman Ki (2010) and with the characters Cumali Koçovalı (the uncle) in Çukur (2017) and Necdet in Aşk 101 (2020). Also appearing in the films Abluka (2015), Kız Kardeşler (2019) and Görülmüştür (2019), Kayacan has drawn great renewed interest with the character Ecmel, whom he portrays in the series Uzak Şehir (2024), and has become a phenomenon with his social media posts.
