Ozan Akbaba — Biography

Ozan Akbaba was born on 9 June 1982 in Kars. He graduated in Interior Architecture and Environmental Design from Akdeniz University's Fine Arts Faculty, while acting in stage plays. Alongside acting, he composes film scores -- roughly 25 short films and 30-plus promotional films -- and wrote and assistant-directed the 2010 short Bumerang.

His TV career opened in 2005 with Kırık Kanatlar; he then played a bartender in Kavak Yelleri (2007), Zafer in Cennetin Sırları (2011), and Sümer Tezkan in Kuzey Güney (2012-2013). In 2013 he played Şenol in Güldür Güldür and Dr. Veysel in Arka Sokaklar, also appearing in the films Yarım Kalan Mucize and Mutlak Adalet. In 2014 he appeared in the video for Sıla's song "Vaziyetler."

He played İlyas Çakırbeyli on ATV's Eşkıya Dünyaya Hükümdar Olmaz between 2015 and 2021, reaching a wide audience. He appeared in Aman Reis Duymasın (2019), then led the series Kasaba Doktoru and played Murat in the film Anka (2022).

In 2024 he played Cihan Albora opposite Sinem Ünsal in Uzak Şehir and appeared in Sadık Ahmet; in 2025, Sırr Bir Kudüs Macerası and Bak Postacı Geliyor. In 2026 filming took him to Budapest for Uzak Şehir's third season, and he revisited his childhood home in Kars after 25 years.
