Distant City (Uzak Şehir)

Uzak Şehir is a Turkish drama series produced by Ay Yapım and AyNA Yapım that premiered on Kanal D on November 11, 2024. Written by Gülizar Irmak and directed by Yıldız Aşanboğa, Emre Aybek and Ahmet Katıksız, it is an adaptation of the 2017 Lebanese series Al Hayba. Filming took place in the village of Narlı in the Midyat district of Mardin, and episodes were also released on puhutv following their television broadcast.

The story follows Alya, who arrives in the Albora lands of Mardin from Canada carrying her late husband's body and her five-year-old son, determined to fulfill his final wish. Cihan, the head of the Albora family, refuses to let her leave with her child, and Alya is drawn into a fierce struggle against her husband's family as she confronts a dark past, hidden secrets and the harsh realities of the region. Ozan Akbaba and Sinem Ünsal star in the leading roles.
