1990: The Bronx Warriors

1990: The Bronx Warriors (original title: 1990: I guerrieri del Bronx) is a 1982 Italian action and science fiction film directed by Enzo G. Castellari. Set in the year 1990 in a post-apocalyptic New York, it depicts the conflict between street gangs and the police in the Bronx. The screenplay was written by Elisa Briganti, Dardano Sacchetti and Castellari himself, and the film was conceived as a response to gang movies such as Walter Hill's The Warriors and John Carpenter's Escape from New York.

The cast includes Mark Gregory, Vic Morrow, Christopher Connelly, Fred Williamson and George Eastman, while the director's daughter Stefania Girolami appears as Ann. Produced by Fabrizio De Angelis, the 81-minute film was followed in 1983 by a sequel, Escape from the Bronx.
