George Eastman — Biography
George Eastman, born Luigi Montefiori on 16 August 1942 in Genoa, died on 20 May 2026 in Rome. He worked as an actor, screenwriter and director in Italian cinema and made picture after picture across several decades with the director Joe D'Amato. He became one of the genre's most remembered faces for playing a deranged cannibal killer in the 1980 horror picture Antropophagus, then took on a comparable part again in Absurd two years later, writing both scripts himself. From the 1960s onward he appeared in dozens of spaghetti westerns, poliziotteschi and giallo titles, serving as both actor and screenwriter on films such as The New Barbarians, 1990: The Bronx Warriors and Rabid Dogs.
