Ironmaster

Ironmaster (original Italian title La guerra del ferro: Ironmaster) is a 1983 Italian-French co-production directed by Umberto Lenzi and produced by Medusa Film. Written by Alberto Cavallone and Dardano Sacchetti from a story by producer Luciano Martino and Cavallone, the film is a prehistoric adventure inspired by La Guerre du feu, blended with heroic fantasy touches reminiscent of Conan the Barbarian. Though set in the Stone Age, it is commonly grouped with the era's B-grade barbarian films, and unlike La Guerre du feu its characters speak in contemporary language.

The film's self-aware, not-too-serious tone earned it comparatively better reviews than other barbarian movies of the period. The cast includes George Eastman, Benito Stefanelli, Giovanni Cianfriglia and Nello Pazzafini, and the film runs 94 minutes.
