Seven Blood-Stained Orchids

Movie · 1972–1974 · 3 people

Seven Blood-Stained Orchids is a 1972 giallo thriller from Italy and West Germany, credited to director Umberto Lenzi. At its core is a masked killer who leaves a small silver crescent in the palm of each victim. One target, Giulia, narrowly survives an attack, and to keep the culprit from realizing she lived, authorities and the press let word spread that she had died. Believing herself safe under that cover, she sets out on her own to track down whoever is responsible. Lenzi also had a hand in writing the script alongside other collaborators. The cast brings together Antonio Sabàto, Uschi Glas and Pier Paolo Capponi, with German backers marketing the picture there as part of a wave of crime films tied to Edgar Wallace adaptations.
