Blood and Bullets

Blood and Bullets (original title: Sangue di sbirro) is a 1976 Italian poliziottesco crime film directed by Alfonso Brescia, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Aldo Crudo. The picture stars Jack Palance alongside George Eastman and Jenny Tamburi, with supporting turns from genre regulars such as Nello Pazzafini, Ugo Bologna, Benito Pacifico, Lina Franchi and Renato Montalbano. Running about 95 minutes, it belongs to the wave of hard-edged police thrillers that characterized Italian crime cinema in the 1970s. The film circulated internationally under several alternate titles, including Knell, Bloody Avenger in English-speaking markets and Pour un dollar d'argent in France, while German audiences first saw it on home video in 1982 under the title Blut eines Bullen.
