Super Stooges vs. the Wonder Women

Movie · 1974–1976 · 2 people

Super Stooges vs. the Wonder Women (original Italian title Superuomini, superdonne, superbotte) is a 1974 Italian superhero comedy directed by Alfonso Brescia, who also wrote the screenplay. Released in Italy on 11 April 1974, it forms part of Brescia's loose series of tongue-in-cheek "supermen" pictures that spoofed the superhero craze of the era. Blending fantasy, martial-arts-flavoured brawls and slapstick, the low-budget production was presented in some markets as an Italian-Spanish-Hong Kong co-production, with Brescia occasionally credited under the pseudonym Al Bradley. The cast features familiar faces of Italian genre cinema, including Giovanni Cianfriglia and Nello Pazzafini. The film circulated internationally under various titles, among them Sie hauen alle in die Pfanne in Germany and Supermen contre Amazones in France. Today it is remembered chiefly as a cult trash movie of the 1970s Italian exploitation scene.
