Dad's Money (Baba Parası) (translated)
Baba Parası ("Dad's Money") is a Turkish comedy released in 2020, written and directed by Selçuk Aydemir. Murat Cemcir, Necati Kocabay and Furkan Yeşilnur produced the film, and its score was composed by Gürsoy Tanç.
The plot centres on a group of wildly mismatched siblings — rich and poor, educated and ignorant, rural and urban — who discover they are the illegitimate children and legal heirs of one of the country's wealthiest men. The catch is that the entire fortune, locked away in a giant safe, will go to only one of them: the code can be cracked only by the child who is as greedy and cunning as the father was. The ruthless race between the siblings turns into a comedy about just how far people will go for money.
Ahmet Kural and Murat Cemcir, famous as a comic duo, take the lead roles, supported by Yağmur Tanrısevsin, Rasim Öztekin, Devrim Yakut and Özgür Emre Yıldırım, with Giray Altınok, Osman Alkaş and Demir Karahan also in the cast.
