Father of Fathers (Babaların Babası) (translated)

Directed by Natuk Baytan, the 1975 Turkish action film Babaların Babası tells of a love that endures despite the passing years. Nermin is a successful businesswoman who long ago separated from her womanizing husband Murat and raised their three children alone. Her two sons and her son-in-law have followed in Murat's footsteps, leaving her to carry the entire burden of the family by herself. Though she is a strong woman, she has never managed to stop loving Murat, from whom she has heard nothing for fifteen years. When her grandson Ömer is kidnapped for ransom, she has no one else to turn to and is forced to seek out Murat, reuniting the estranged couple after many years. Cüneyt Arkın and Filiz Akın star in the leading roles.
