Bad Man's River

Bad Man's River is a 1971 comedy Spaghetti Western directed by Eugenio Martín and produced as an international co-production between Italy, Spain and France. The screenplay was written by Philip Yordan and Eugenio Martín. The film was released under different titles in various countries: El hombre de Río Malo in Spain, Matalo in Germany, and Les Quatre Mercenaires d'El Paso in France.

Its star-studded cast includes Lee Van Cleef, James Mason, Gina Lollobrigida, Sergio Fantoni, Simón Andreu and Lone Fleming, the director's wife at the time. The film premiered in Germany on 3 December 1971. Despite its prominent ensemble, it received poor reviews and disappointed financially, with many critics ranking it among the worst films of the genre.
