Because of the Cats

Because of the Cats is a 1973 Dutch-Belgian drama and crime film directed by Fons Rademakers, starring Bryan Marshall, Alexandra Stewart, Sylvia Kristel and Sebastian Graham Jones. Scripted by Hugo Claus, it adapts Nicolas Freeling's 1963 novel from the Van der Valk detective series.

The film was originally released in Dutch under the title Niet voor de poezen and reached British cinemas as The Rape. Shot in English, the co-production runs about 91 minutes.
