Sylvia Kristel — Biography
Sylvia Maria Kristel was born on 28 September 1952 in Utrecht, the Netherlands, and died on 17 October 2012 in The Hague. Starting out as a model, she went on to appear in more than fifty films over her career, while also trying her hand at singing, painting and directing.
The part that made her a household name worldwide was the title character of a 1974 erotic feature, a role she went on to reprise across a dozen big-screen and television follow-ups. She was also seen in Because of the Cats, Playing with Fire, Rene the Cane, Casanova and Love in First Class, and was sixty years old at the time of her death.
