Bits and Pieces

Bits and Pieces (originally Il cielo è sempre più blu) is a 1996 Italian comedy-drama directed by Antonello Grimaldi. Built as an anthology, the film weaves together several short stories that unfold over the course of a single day in Rome, offering glimpses into the lives of ordinary people across different corners of the city.

The title is a nod to a well-known song by the Italian singer-songwriter Rino Gaetano. Shot in Rome in 1995, the film opened in Italian cinemas in February of the following year. Its large ensemble cast features prominent performers of the period, including Monica Bellucci, Margherita Buy, Iaia Forte, Asia Argento, Silvio Orlando and Francesca Neri.
