Cibali Police Station (Cibali Karakolu) (translated)

Cibali Karakolu is a black-and-white Turkish comedy directed by Hulki Saner, adapted from the stage play of the same name. The screenplay is credited to Hulki Saner and Adnan Saner, and the film was produced by Saner Film.

The story follows Cafer Saba, the chief inspector of the Cibali police station. Wealthy and fond of chasing women, Cafer introduces himself as Necip Zoka during his escapades. Together with his tenant Orhan, he sets his sights on a singer named Ayfer. Orhan, however, loves another woman and intends to marry her; his interest in Ayfer is merely a scheme to squeeze money out of her. The situation unravels when Orhan's father-in-law unknowingly rents Ayfer's house for the couple's honeymoon. Arriving with his bride, Orhan is stunned to find Ayfer there, and matters grow even more chaotic when the in-laws and Cafer himself turn up at the same address, resulting in a series of farcical mix-ups.

Muammer Karaca stars as Cafer Saba, with Cüneyt Arkın as Orhan and Sevda Ferdağ as Ayfer; the cast also includes Sevim Emre, Rıza Pekkutsal, and Mualla Sürer.
