Do Not Forget Me Istanbul

Do Not Forget Me Istanbul is a 2011 omnibus film bringing together seven internationally recognized directors to remind audiences that Istanbul's past does not belong solely to today's peoples. Coordinated by Hüseyin Karabey and produced by Sevil Demirci and Emre Yeksan, the project counts Hany Abu-Assad among its directors. Made up of six short films of roughly 15 minutes each, drawn from the directors' own lives or the lives of people they witnessed, it follows characters such as a Bosnian actress named Alma, a middle-aged couple, Dragan and Ana, as well as Vangelis, Martha, and Armenak, whose different reasons for being in Istanbul are woven together by the city's cosmopolitan history.

The film had its world premiere in Sarajevo and its Middle East premiere at the Dubai Film Festival. Its cast includes Mira Furlan, Hiam Abbass, Jacky Nercessian, and Serra Yılmaz, alongside Mert Fırat.
