Confessions of a Lady Cop (Erkekten de Beter)
Confessions of a Lady Cop (original title: La poliziotta fa carriera) is a 1976 Italian commedia sexy all'italiana directed by Michele Massimo Tarantini, starring Edwige Fenech alongside Mario Carotenuto, Alvaro Vitali and Gianfranco D'Angelo. Written by Francesco Milizia and Tarantini, the film serves as an unofficial sequel to Steno's La poliziotta, while also parodying the gritty poliziottesco crime genre popular in 1970s Italy, with sex and nudity played more explicitly for farce.
The film launched a series built around Fenech's policewoman Gianna Amicucchi, followed by two sequels also directed by Tarantini: A Policewoman on the Porno Squad (1979) and A Policewoman in New York (1981). Reviewers have repeatedly described the cycle as a kind of Italian forerunner of the Police Academy films.
