Holy Family, season 1
Holy Family, season one, is a Spanish television drama that Manolo Caro created and directed for Netflix, where it began streaming in the autumn of 2022. Its eight episodes, each running about forty minutes, follow a household that relocates to Madrid while carrying a dangerous secret from their past.
As the family tries to rebuild an ordinary life in the capital, new romantic and social ties they form threaten to expose what they have been concealing, and old troubles gradually resurface to disrupt their fresh start. The series blends family-drama elements with a slow-burning thriller structure, drawing tension from the gap between the family's outward normalcy and the buried history that keeps intruding on it.
Alba Flores and Álex García Fernández appear among the principal cast, joined by performers including Najwa Nimri, Macarena Gómez and Álvaro Rico in the wider ensemble. The season formed the opening chapter of a story that continued into a second season, with Netflix positioning it as one of its Spanish-language original productions.
