Kara Murat, Fatih's Decree (Kara Murat Fatih'in Fermanı) (translated)

Kara Murat Fatih'in Fermanı (Kara Murat, Fatih's Decree) is a 1973 Turkish adventure and historical film directed by Natuk Baytan from a screenplay by Erdoğan Tünaş. Produced by Erler Film and released on 1 November 1973, it stars Cüneyt Arkın, Meral Orhonsay, Bora Ayanoğlu and Melda Sözen.

The story follows the Byzantine princess Irene, who loves Sultan Mehmed II, while raids led by Prince Nicol cost Kara Murat his mother and drive him to swear vengeance. After the 1453 conquest of Constantinople, Nicol kills Irene and flees to Lesbos; acting on the Sultan's decree, Kara Murat infiltrates the island under the name Kosta, frees captives and avenges the princess. The film is the second entry in the Kara Murat series, between Kara Murat Fatih'in Fedaisi and Kara Murat Ölüm Emri.
