Kayhan

Kayhan is a 2018 Turkish comedy film directed by Togan Gökbakar, who co-wrote the screenplay with Şahan Gökbakar. It brings to the big screen the Kayhan character that Şahan Gökbakar had created for his television show Kime Diyorum.

Twenty years after finishing high school, Kayhan attends the school's traditional pilaf day to reunite with classmates he has not seen in years. While leafing through the old yearbook, he discovers that many of his former friends wrote harsh, humiliating remarks about him. Deeply hurt, he swears to settle the score and sets out to take revenge on each of them, despite the two decades that have passed.

Şahan Gökbakar stars in the title role, joined by İrfan Kangı and Gökçe Eyüboğlu. Produced by Çamaşırhane, the film opened in theaters on 9 February 2018. Years later, Gökbakar admitted that the finished film had not turned out as funny as he had envisioned.
