Valley of the Wolves: Homeland (Kurtlar Vadisi Vatan)

Kurtlar Vadisi Vatan (Valley of the Wolves: Homeland) is the fourth feature film of the popular Valley of the Wolves franchise, released in 2017. Produced by Pana Film and directed by Serdar Akar, it was scripted by Necati Şaşmaz, Murat Koca, Alper Erze and Cahit Kayaoğlu. After roughly five weeks of shooting, the film opened across Europe on 28 September 2017 and in Türkiye a day later, drawing more than 233,000 viewers in its first week.

Set against the coup attempt of 15 July 2016, the story follows Polat Alemdar and his team, who, during an operation in northern Iraq, seize a map marking Türkiye's military bases and strategic targets. The document exposes an invasion force massed on the border, waiting for the coup's signal. Necati Şaşmaz stars as Polat Alemdar, joined by Erhan Ufak, Ertuğrul Şakar, Sinem Öztürk, Tuncay Beyazıt and Yücel Erten.
