La Vie à deux

La Vie à deux (Life Together) is a 1958 French comedy directed by Clément Duhour. Its screenplay was written by Sacha Guitry and stands as his final work, completed shortly before his death that same year. The picture brings together a remarkable ensemble of French screen stars, including Fernandel, Pierre Brasseur, Danielle Darrieux, Jean Marais, Edwige Feuillère, Gérard Philipe, Lilli Palmer and Sophie Desmarets. Filming took place at the Billancourt Studios in Paris as well as on location in Nice, where scenes were shot at the celebrated Hotel Negresco. The production's sets were created by art director Raymond Gabutti. Carrying Guitry's characteristic wit and elegance, the film remains a fitting farewell from one of France's most beloved men of the theatre and cinema.
