Stain (Leke) (translated)

Leke is a Turkish drama series that premiered on Kanal D on April 16, 2019. Produced by TİMSBİ Productions, it was directed by Metin Balekoğlu for its first six episodes and by Şenol Sönmez for the remaining three, with a writing team made up of Yıldız Tunç, Su Ersöz, Derem Arpacı, Sedef Bayburtluoğlu and Eylül İdiman. The lead roles are shared by Burak Sevinç and Melis Sezen.

The story follows Yasemin, whose life began in Germany and who, despite hardship, earned a place at law school. While studying and working at the same time, her one goal is to gain custody of her hearing-impaired brother Murat, who is growing up in an orphanage, and to save money for his operation. Cem, on the other hand, is the elder son of a wealthy family. Having witnessed a childhood incident that tore his parents apart, he is a brilliant and successful businessman, yet distant and mistrustful of women because of his past. Yasemin and Cem's paths cross through an event on the night of a company gathering, and the love between two wounded souls struggles to grow amid dark secrets, ambitions and intrigue.

The series ran for a single season of nine episodes, ending on June 18, 2019, after which it was taken off the air.
