Letters by a Novice

Letters by a Novice (Lettere di una novizia) is a 1960 drama film directed by Alberto Lattuada, loosely adapted from Guido Piovene's novel of the same name. A French-Italian coproduction, it was released in France under the title La novice and also circulated internationally as Rita. Pascale Petit and Jean-Paul Belmondo lead the cast, with supporting turns from performers including Massimo Girotti, Elsa Vazzoler and Lilla Brignone. The screenplay was written by Enrico Medioli, Giuseppe Patroni Griffi and Roger Vailland, and the film was produced by Carlo Ponti.
