Love at the Top

Movie · 1974–1977 · 2 people

Directed by Michel Deville in 1974, Le Mouton enragé (Love at the Top) is a satirical comedy-drama adapted by screenwriter Christopher Frank from Roger Blondel's 1956 novel of the same name. Its original French title translates literally to the rabid sheep. Jean-Louis Trintignant takes the lead, joined by well-known names of the era such as Romy Schneider, Jean-Pierre Cassel, Jane Birkin and Florinda Bolkan, with Georges Wilson also appearing in the cast. Running roughly a hundred and five minutes, the picture is representative of the era's fondness for biting social comedy in French cinema.
