Malkoçoğlu Cem Sultan

Malkoçoğlu Cem Sultan is a Turkish-Iranian historical action film released in 1970, written and directed by Remzi Jöntürk. Adapted from Ayhan Başoğlu's beloved comic book hero Malkoçoğlu, it is one of many collaborations between Jöntürk and Cüneyt Arkın and belongs to the wave of historical films in Turkish cinema. Shot simultaneously in Turkish and Persian, its Iranian version was released in 1972 under the title "Serzemin-e Delaveran".

Orphaned young Polat leaves his village after killing Sarı Cafer, who tried to take his beloved Melek from him, and becomes an akıncı warrior through Malkoçoğlu's sponsorship. Prince Cem Sultan, fleeing his brother Sultan Bayezid II, takes refuge with his blood brother Malkoçoğlu, but falls captive through the treachery of Gaddar Hamolka. Cüneyt Arkın plays a dual role as both Polat and Malkoçoğlu Ali Bey, who learns that Polat is his own son. The cast also includes Cihangir Gaffari, Pouri Banayi, Suzan Avcı, Feri Cansel and Behçet Nacar.
