Nelly and Mr. Arnaud

Nelly and Mr. Arnaud (Nelly et Monsieur Arnaud) is a 1995 French-Italian-German drama directed by Claude Sautet, from a screenplay he co-wrote with Jacques Fieschi and Yves Ulmann. It was Sautet's final film and stars Michel Serrault, Emmanuelle Béart, and Jean-Hugues Anglade. The story centers on Nelly, a young woman going through a life crisis, and Pierre Arnaud, a wealthy older man who hires her as an assistant while writing his memoirs.

The 103-minute French-language film earned 11 César Award nominations, winning Best Director for Sautet and Best Actor for Serrault in 1996. It also received the Louis Delluc Prize, a Lumière Award for Best Actor, and a BAFTA nomination for best film not in the English language.
