Night Flight from Moscow

Night Flight from Moscow (French: Le Serpent) is a 1973 Cold War spy thriller produced, co-written and directed by Henri Verneuil, with Gilles Perrault as co-screenwriter. A French-Italian-German co-production running 119 minutes, it is an adaptation of Pierre Nord's novel and follows a KGB official seeking refuge in the West by way of France.

As the Soviet state security apparatus pursues American spy networks, the dissident's defection draws French, American and Soviet intelligence into a tense confrontation. The film stars Yul Brynner, Henry Fonda, Dirk Bogarde, Philippe Noiret and Michel Bouquet, with a score composed by Ennio Morricone. It stands as a notable example of 1970s European espionage cinema.
