Nous irons à Deauville

Nous irons à Deauville (international English title: We Will Go to Deauville) is a 1962 French comedy directed by Francis Rigaud, who co-wrote the screenplay with Jacques Vilfrid. Built around the idea of heading off on holiday to the seaside resort of Deauville, the film is a burlesque comedy led by Michel Serrault, with Claude Brasseur and Michel Galabru among the supporting players. It brings together a rich ensemble of popular French comic performers of the era, including Louis de Funès in an uncredited appearance, alongside Jean Carmet, Jean Richard, Jean-Marc Thibault, Eddie Constantine and Fernand Raynaud. Singer Sacha Distel also makes a brief appearance and performs a song. Running about 80 minutes, the picture is a typical example of the light vacation comedies that flourished in French cinema in the early 1960s.
