Mortal World (Ölümlü Dünya)

Mortal World is a 2018 Turkish action-comedy directed by Ali Atay, released on January 26, 2018. Its large ensemble includes Ahmet Mümtaz Taylan, Alper Kul, Sarp Apak, İrem Sak, Doğu Demirkol, Feyyaz Yiğit, Meltem Kaptan, Mehmet Özgür, and Özgür Emre Yıldırım.

The story centers on the eight-member Mermer family, who run the Anadolu Tat restaurant inside Haydarpaşa Station. Although they appear to lead quiet, ordinary lives, the family has long been secretly working for a deep-rooted clandestine organization. When their carefully guarded secret is unexpectedly exposed, the family members are thrown into a dangerous yet absurd chain of events and must improvise a new plan to survive.

The film drew more than 100,000 viewers in its opening three days and went on to reach over 585,000 admissions in total, earning roughly 7 million lira at the box office.
