Hodja from Pjort (Pjort'lu Hoca)

Hodja from Pjort (Danish: Hodja fra Pjort) is a 1985 Danish children's and family film directed by Brita Wielopolska. It is based on Ole Lund Kirkegaard's children's book of the same name, first published in 1970.

The story follows Hodja, a kind-hearted man from the small village of Pjort, who sets out on an adventurous journey aboard a flying carpet. Along the way he makes new friends but also runs into dangerous figures such as thieves, facing every obstacle with his gentle nature and optimism intact. With its fairy-tale mood, the film stands as a representative example of Danish children's cinema of its era. The cast includes Cevat Kurtuluş, Zihni Küçümen, Yadigar Ejder, Kadir Savun and Macit Koper.
