Portuguese Vacation

Portuguese Vacation (original title: Vacances portugaises) is a 1963 French-Portuguese co-production drama directed by Pierre Kast. Written by Alain Aptekman, Robert Scipion and Jacques Doniol-Valcroze, the film builds its story around a holiday spent in Portugal, as its title suggests, and is performed in French.

The picture is led by Françoise Arnoul, Michel Auclair and Jean-Pierre Aumont, and it brings together a notably large ensemble of well-known performers of the period. The cast also features Jean-Marc Bory, Françoise Brion, Daniel Gélin, Barbara Laage and Pierre Vaneck, alongside a young Catherine Deneuve, who was then only at the beginning of her screen career.
