Shookhi Nakon Delkhor Misham

Known in Persian as شوخی نکن دلخور می‌شم (Shookhi Nakon Delkhor Misham), this Iranian comedy was released in the Persian year 1345, corresponding to 1966. Reza Safaei directed from a script by Rahimi Shabestari, and the film was produced by Pars Film, one of the busiest Iranian studios of the period.

It was shot on 35 mm black-and-white stock and runs roughly 101 minutes. The title translates loosely as "Don't joke, I'll take offence", a hint at the light comic register of the picture.

The cast is built around Foruzan, one of the era's leading box-office draws, alongside Ahmad Qadakchian, Dariush Asadzadeh, Hamideh Kheirabadi, Javad Qaem-Maghami and Ali Tabesh. The film's songs also circulated separately on a contemporary vinyl release. No reliable synopsis of the storyline has survived, so only the verified production credits are given here.
