Sungurlar is a Turkish television drama that debuted on Samanyolu TV on October 25, 2014, blending action, military drama, and war elements. It was conceived as a follow-up to Şefkat Tepe, which had run from 2010 to 2014, carrying that earlier show's storyline forward.
None of the leading performers from Şefkat Tepe returned; the principal roles went to Mert Kılıç, Bora Karakul, Dilara Büyükbayraktar, Merve Anlağan, and Mehmet Küçük. The series ran for two seasons and reached a total of 39 episodes.
Production came to a halt in 2015 when the channels belonging to the Samanyolu Media group were dropped from Türksat's satellite platform, bringing the show's run to an end.
