Tehran Adventure (Tahran Macerası) (translated)
Tehran Adventure is a 1968 Turkish-Iranian co-production directed by Türker İnanoğlu, with a screenplay by Bülent Oran and Safa Önal. Produced by Erler Film, the adventure drama stars Kartal Tibet, Cihangir Gaffari, Mine Mutlu, and Füruzan.
The story follows Ali and Cafer, two truck drivers hauling carpets along Iran's mountain roads. When their miserly boss Mehdi refuses to reward them for fending off bandits, the pair quit and rob his warehouse. While fleeing the police, Cafer betrays his friend: he seizes the money and lets Ali take the fall, earning him a thirty-year sentence. Years later Ali learns the truth from a fellow prisoner, escapes during a transfer, and heads to Istanbul, where Cafer now runs a nightclub. Ali's path crosses with Zeynep, a young woman whose eyesight was restored by surgery—and who turns out to be Cafer's sister. Using their growing affection as leverage for revenge, Ali closes in on his former partner, until the final confrontation is settled by an unexpected shot from the dancer Ayşe.
