The Race

The Race (original title Le Raid) is a 2002 French comedy-adventure film directed by Djamel Bensalah, who co-wrote the screenplay with Gilles Laurent. Produced by Gaumont and Canal+, the film stars Julien Courbey, Sacha Bourdo and Yves Rénier alongside performers such as Hélène de Fougerolles, Roschdy Zem, Gérard Jugnot, Josiane Balasko and Omar Sy.

The story follows Carlito, a Saint-Denis mob boss, who hires four men — Tacchini, Sami, Yaya and Kader — with the promise of four million dollars for an unusual assignment: entering an extreme sports tournament in order to kill a man named Leonore de Segonzac. Nothing goes according to plan, however, as four more hitmen are hot on the quartet's trail.
