Beur sur la ville

Beur sur la ville is a 2011 French comedy-crime film written, directed and produced by Djamel Bensalah, with Gilles Laurent credited on the screenplay. It opened in French cinemas on 12 October 2011.

After the Paris police force is criticized for biased lieutenant promotions, officers of Arab, African and Chinese descent are promoted instead, and this unlikely team ends up confronting a serial killer case in the suburbs. Booder leads a large ensemble that includes Issa Doumbia, Ramzy Bedia, Marilou Berry and Sandrine Kiberlain, while Jean-Claude Van Damme appears briefly in a small role as a French colonel. Blending policing and crime themes with humor, the film offers a comedic look at French suburban life and diversity.
