The Seventh Company Has Been Found

The Seventh Company Has Been Found (original French title On a retrouvé la septième compagnie) is a 1975 French comedy directed by Robert Lamoureux, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Jean-Marie Poiré. It continues the story begun in the 1973 film Now Where Did the 7th Company Get to?

The plot returns to the soldiers Tassin and Pithivier and staff sergeant Chaudard during the Second World War, although Tassin is now played by Henri Guybet rather than Aldo Maccione. Chronologically, the action takes place before the first film's epilogue, which showed the three men taking part in the Normandy landings of June 1944. The ensemble also features Pierre Mondy and Jean Lefebvre. Running about ninety minutes, the film keeps the light, farcical tone of the wartime misadventures established by its predecessor.
