The Witness

The Witness (French: Le Témoin, Italian: Il testimone) is a 1978 French-Italian crime thriller written and directed by Jean-Pierre Mocky. The story is loosely drawn from Harrison Judd's novel Shadow of a Doubt. Alberto Sordi and Philippe Noiret head the cast, with supporting turns from Dominique Zardi and Henri Attal. Shot in French and running 106 minutes, the film blends crime and suspense elements. It opened in France on 20 September 1978.
