Un Paso Adelante

Un Paso Adelante is a Spanish television series produced by Globomedia and broadcast on Antena 3 from January 8, 2002 to April 24, 2005. Created by Daniel Écija, Juan Carlos Cueto, Ernesto Pozuelo, Pilar Nadal and Jesús del Cerro, it follows a format similar to the 1980s American series Fame and consists of 84 episodes of about 80 minutes each.

The story centers on the teachers and students of Carmen Arranz, a prestigious performing arts school in Madrid, where young hopefuls like Lola, Pedro, Rober, Jero, Ingrid, Silvia and Marta discover that the road to fame as singers, dancers and actors is far from easy. The show became a major success in countries such as Germany, France, Italy, Serbia and across Latin America, and some of its cast members formed the pop group Upa Dance. A sequel series, UPA Next, premiered on Atresplayer Premium in December 2022.
